My favorite White Sangria. I am definitely not a wine drinker however the white sangria at Italian Kitchen is just the best. It’s very fruity and has no trace of alcohol.  <3!

Bone Marrow Antipasto. A very interesting appetizer. Love the crispy garlic crostini and beef tenderloin tartare.

Linguine Carbonara- pancetta, scallions, egg, parmesan. A decent dish with good amounts of pancetta. It’s great if you don’t want something overwhelming with flavor.

Rigatoni Vitello- veal cheeks, spinach, red wine jus, roasted garlic. I really enjoyed this dish. Very flavorful and filling.

Happy Birthday to Mable Lo! We had a nice dinner @ Italian Kitchen on Saturday night. Food was great as always. This cake from Sweet Obsession was so chocolate mousse-licious. Layers of hazelnut and chocolate mouse topped with meringue. Tasted like a huge Ferrero Rocher!

Half man Half horse. A very impressive performance on Granville Street.

Found the cutest steamed buns @ TnT! 4 for $3.48! How could I resist? Took me a while to eat Ms. Piggy =( The buns were actually very tasty with very unique fillings.

Bonchaz– About a month ago I was given a Goodnews coupon gift for a lunch deal at Bonchaz. I have always wanted to try their Bonchaz buns so I was really excited about the gift. You would think that since the cafe is located in downtown and only a few blocks from work that I would have used it instantly. Not the case.

I finally found time to check out the cafe this past week and I’m so glad that I did. The coupon deal was for 2 sandwich and soup combos with 2 Bonchaz buns for only $6.95! What a great deal!

original, banana-walnut bonchaz

These buns are delicious. They remind me of Chinese pineapple buns but less sweet. The buns were soft and I really enjoyed the sweet topping. Although both flavors were great I personally prefer the original with no filling inside. All the buns are baked fresh in store. Can’t wait to go back and give the matcha a try.
