Skillet Diner – Seattle
I heard many good things about Skillet Diner and decided to go for brunch on a recent trip to Seattle. The line up was out the door by the time I arrived and the place was fully packed. Luckily, it didn’t take too long for us to get seats at the bar. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Very relax and laid back feel.
The Cinnamon Bun is a weekend special. If you like cinnamon buns then this is definitely a must. The two of us could only eat half. Wasn’t too sweet and just the right amount of cinnamon. Really enjoyed it.
I knew I wanted to get this right when I read the menu. How can it get any better? I had the choice of fried chicken or pork belly and I decided to go for the pork since I’ve had fried chicken waffles before. The pork was very tender and juicy. The sauce was great with the waffle and maple syrup. It would have been a bit better if the portion of the pork was a bit bigger ( me so greedy )
This was the daily scramble of the day. It was good but nothing special. There are definitely other more unique items to try on the menu but overall a satisfying dish.
Can’t wait to come back and try their popular Grilled Peanut Butter and Jam with Fries! Great place to go anytime of the day.
