Lao Shan Dong—I have been quite busy lately and needed a place that was fast and tasty. I have been to Lao Shan Dong once many years ago and I couldn’t remember much about it. The other night after work I decided that this would be the place for something fast and tasty.

My partner in crime had already ate, so I had to tackle the food on my own. I wasn’t too hungry but decided to order 2 items cause its more fun=)

Braised Beef Flank in Soup #1 on menu for $6.95(Sm)

This noodle is their specialty. The beef flank was tender and the soup was flavorful. The noodles had a good texture and tasted homemade.

Ground Meat on Rice $3.95

I didn’t expect this dish to be so big since it was only $3.95. The meat was flavorful and I loved the green onions on top. I thought the rice could have been softer. nevertheless it was well-worth the price!!

They also have lots of great Taiwanese side dishes which I will try next time=)

PS. It states that they do not use MSG in any of their food (Bonus!)
